Mugello region
Mugello is a region north of Florence in northern Italy. It is separated by the Santerno river valley by the Futa Pass. The area was settled by a Ligurian tribe known as the Magelli, whence the name. In Italian language, the name "Sieve" is feminine, and is therefore referred to as La Sieve.
