Battle of the Bridge of Arcole
The Battle of Arcole or Battle of Arcola (15–17 November 1796) saw a bold manoeuvre by Napoleon Bonaparte's French Army of Italy to outflank the Austrian army under József Alvinczi and cut its line of retreat. The French victory proved to be the most significant event during the third Austrian attempt to lift the Siege of Mantua. The action took place during the War of the First Coalition, part of the French Revolutionary Wars. Arcole is located 25 kilometres southeast of Verona on Route SP39.

Santa Maria Maggiore is a church in Gazzo Veronese, a village in the Veneto near Verona, northern Italy. It is first mentioned in the 9th century.
