Chievo

Chievo (4,500 inhabitants) is a frazione of Verona located to the west of the city, around 4 km from the historic city centre, on the shores of the river Adige. It is best known for its football team, A.C. ChievoVerona. The name came from the Latin "clivium mantici" which means "the hill of the magic wood". Verona Cathedral

Verona Cathedral is a church in Verona, northern Italy. It was erected after two Palaeo-Christian churches on the same site had been destroyed by an earthquake in 1117. Built in Romanesque style, the cathedral was consecrated on September 13, 1187. The structure was later modified by several renovation interventions, although the plan has remained unchanged.
