Honshū-Shikoku Bridge Project

The Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Project is a system of bridges connecting the islands of Honshu and Shikoku across the Inland Sea of Japan, which were previously only connected by ferry. It consists of three major connections. All bridges are now controlled by the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway Company and the Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency . The system consists of three expressways and their respective bridge systems.

Shikoku

Shikoku is the smallest and least populous (4,141,955 as of 2005) of the four main islands of Japan, located south of Honshū and east of the island of Kyūshū. Its ancient names include Iyo-no-futana-shima (伊予之二名島), Iyo-shima (伊予島), and Futana-shima (二名島). The current name refers to the four former provinces which made up the island: Awa, Tosa, Sanuki, and Iyo.

Battle of Hikita

Siege of Hikita the Siege of Hikita was a battle during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (16th century) of Japan. The siege of Hikita was a certain battle that was fought by Sengoku Hidehisa against the ruler of the Chōsokabe Motochika. In the end however, Motochika would win this victory. Hikita was to be a further stage within the Chosokabe's conquering of the Shikoku Island.

Mount Inamura

is the highest mountain in Kōchi Prefecture, Japan, at 1,506 m . Situated in the town of Tosa, Mount Inamura is famous for its Akebono-tsutsuji (Rhododendron pentaphyllum) flowers, which bloom during the middle of spring season (April–May).
