Bab edh-Dhra

Bab edh-Dhra (bāb al-dhrā') is the site of an Early Bronze Age city located near the Dead Sea, on the south bank of Wadi Kerak. Artifacts from Bab edh-Dhra are on display at Karak Archaeological Museum in Jordan; and the Kelso Bible Lands Museum housed at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

Lisan Peninsula

The Lisan Peninsula is a large spit of land which now separates the North and the South basins of the Dead Sea. Its name is Arabic for "tongue. " The peninsula, located entirely within Jordanian territory, separates the northern section of the Dead Sea from its shallow southern part. The northern tip is labeled as Cape Costigan, in memory of Christopher Costigan, an Irish explorer who perished in 1835 from heat and thirst after being stranded on the sea for days.

Bar Yehuda Airfield

Bar Yehuda Airfield (Hebrew מנחת בר־יהודה, minḥat bar-yehuda; sometimes known as Masada Airfield), named after Israel Bar-Yehuda, is a small desert airfield located in the southern Judean desert, between Arad and Ein Gedi, west of the Dead Sea. Opened in 1963, it is just 4.2 km (2.6 mi) from the Metsadah fortress access and about one hour and a half drive from Jerusalem, Israel. The airfield is a public concession, mainly used as an alternate airport, and for charter and sightseeing flights.

Masada cableway

The Masada cableway is an aerial tramway at the ancient fortress of Masada, Israel. Its bottom station is 257 m below and its summit station is 33 metres above sea level, thereby making it the lowest aerial tramway in the world. The cableway was built in 1971 by the Karl Brändle company of Switzerland to carry people to the ruins at the top of the plateau. It had one aerial tramway support pillar and two cabins with a length of 900 metres and an elevation change of 290 metres.
