Kiambu County

The district is adjacent to the northern border of Nairobi and has a population of 744,010. The district is predominantly rural, but its urban population is increasing as Nairobi is growing rapidly. Karura Forest
Karura Forest is an urban forest in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The forest was gazetted in 1932 and is managed by the Kenya Forest Service in conjunction with the Friends of Karura Forest http://www. friendsofkarura. org.
