Lielstraupe Castle

Lielstraupe Castle is a castle in the historical region of Vidzeme, in northern Latvia. It was originally built in the 13th century, and the village of Straupe began to develop around the castle in the 14th century. A large tower was added around 1600. Severely damaged by fire in 1905, the castle was restored between 1906 and 1909 by architect Vilhelms Bokslafs. Since 1963 it has housed a drug addiction rehabilitation hospital.

Ungurmuiža Manor

Ungurmuiža Manor (Latvian: Ungurmuižas kungu māja) is a manor house in the historical region of Vidzeme, in northern Latvia. The estate is named for the von Ungern family, who owned it prior to the middle of the 17th century. The current wooden manor was built in 1731-1732 in Baroque style for the owner, Lieutenant General Balthasar Freiherr von Campenhausen. The von Campenhausen family owned the estate from 1728 to 1939.

Limbaži District

Limbaži District was an administrative division of Latvia, located in Vidzeme region, in the country's north-east, on the shore of the Baltic Sea. It bordered Estonia in the north, the former districts of Riga in the south and Valmiera in the east, and the Gulf of Riga in the west. It covered the territory of the medieval Livonian county of Metsepole. The main city in the district was Limbaži. Districts were eliminated during the administrative-territorial reform in 2009.
