Židikai Marija Pečkauskaitė secondary school
Židikai Marija Pečkauskaitė secondary school is a seconadary school located in Židikai, Lithuania. This school is the oldest one in Mažeikiai district municipality. It was founded in 1865. In 1989 the name of Marija Pečkauskaitė was given to school in order to honor famous authoress and educational Šatrijos Ragana who lived in Židikai from 1915 until her death in 1930.

Vaiņode Air Base
Vaiņode (also somewhere written as Vainodo, Vainede, Vaynede, Vaynodo, and Toyvanede) is a former USSR air base in Latvia, located 31 kilometres south of Skrunda. It was abandoned in 1993. It is only 4 kilometres from the border with Lithuania. During World War I it was a German airship base with two 240 metres long airship hangars. After the war, they were dismantled and parts of them reused as top cover of Riga Central Market's pavilion buildings. They are still in use today.

Plateliai is a town in Samogitia, Lithuania. It is situated on the west bank of Lake Plateliai, the largest lake in Samogitia. The town with the population of about 1,100 people is the center of an elderate in Plungė district municipality. It is the administrative center of the Žemaitija National Park. The town is popular resort in Samogitia and attracts many tourists. The wooden St. Peter and Paul church of Plateliai was built in 1744 by Jan Wojtkiewicz.
