USS S-36 (SS-141) was a S-class submarine in the United States Navy. Her keel was laid down on 10 December 1918 by the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation of San Francisco. Lahad Datu

Lahad Datu is a town and district located in Tawau Division, in the east of Sabah, Malaysia on the island of Borneo. It occupies the peninsula on the north side of Darvel Bay. Its population was estimated to be around 118,000 in 1991 and 156,059 in the 2000 census. Lahad Datu is surrounded by stretches of cocoa and oil palm plantations. It is also an important timber exporting port. The town has an airport for domestic flights.

Lahad Datu Airport

Lahad Datu Airport is an airport located 1 km from Lahad Datu, a town in the state of Sabah in Malaysia. It is near an orangutan rehabilitation center. The airport can accommodate ATR72 and smaller aircraft and the terminal can handle 100,000 passengers annually. In 2008, the airport handled 99,983 passengers and 3,012 aircraft movements.

Tabawan Island

Tabawan Island, Tabauawan or Pulau Tabauwan is the highest and largest of a group of heavily wooded islands lying in the southwest quadrant of Darvel Bay (Teluk Lahad Datu), Sabah. It has dual volcanic peaks, and is 275 meters at its highest point. On the south side of the island there is a small bay, or inlet, quite deep, at 25 to 35 meters. It is about 7.25 kilometers from Sebatik Island, which lies to the southeast.

Darvel Bay

Darvel Bay or Lahad Datu Bay is a bight on the east side of Sabah on the island of Borneo. It is the largest semi-enclosed bay on the east coast of Borneo and faces the Sulawesi Sea. Administratively, it is within Tawau Division, with Lahad Datu District on the north side, Kunak District in the middle and Semporna District to the south of the bay.
