Atotonilco el Bajo

Atotonilco el Bajo is a town in the municipality of Villa Corona; in the Mexican state of Jalisco. According to the INEGI census of 2000: 2,255 people resided in the town. The meaning of Atotonilco comes from its Nahuatl roots: atotos which means "place", and nilco which means "strings of water".

Torrena

The Torrena, a planned 336.5 metres -high telecommunications and entertainment vaporware tower in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The tower has been under construction since the spring of 2005. The Torrena is being constructed in the municipality of Zapopan in an area of 17,720 m², right next to the Plaza del Sol shopping mall, and is expected to be finished by 2009. It will be the nineteenth highest tower in the world, and the highest in Latin America.

Barranca de Otates

Barranca de los Otates is a pueblo in Mexico. Its municipality is Zacoalco de Torres in Jalisco. This town long ago was filled with many Otates also known as Mexican weeping bamboo that were all along the canyon near the river that flows thru this small town. The plant was used to make baskets of many different sizes and are very sturdy and durable.

Estadio Omnilife

Omnilife Stadium, formerly known as Chivas Stadium, is the 4th largest stadium in Mexico. It is part of the J.V.C. complex, and is a multi-use venue that is used mostly for football matches including home matches for Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly known as the "Chivas". The stadium has a seating capacity of 49,850. Construction started in February 2004, but due to financial problems and other issues, the stadium's completion was delayed for a number of years.

Plaza del Sol

Plaza del Sol is one of the largest shopping malls in the urban area of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, located in the municipality of Zapopan. Built at the end of the sixties by the architect Alejandro Zohn, it was the first mall in Latin America. It is the largest outdoor mall in the city, located next to the Plaza Milenium and future Torrena.
