Brizuela, Jalisco

Atemajac de Brizuela is a small town in the southeast sierra of Jalisco, Mexico, 64 km southwest of Guadalajara, between Highways 80 and 401. Its population as of 1990 was 3,790. Barranca de Otates

Barranca de los Otates is a pueblo in Mexico. Its municipality is Zacoalco de Torres in Jalisco. This town long ago was filled with many Otates also known as Mexican weeping bamboo that were all along the canyon near the river that flows thru this small town. The plant was used to make baskets of many different sizes and are very sturdy and durable.
