Interesting facts about this location

Tamuda

Tamuda is an archaeological site in Morocco situated near what nowadays is Tetouan, by the south bank or river Martil. It was founded in the 3rd century BC by the Mauretanians. The city was one of the major cities of the Roman province Mauretania Tingitana. However, by the time the Vandals arrived it had been possibly abandoned as no contemporary chronicle mentions it anymore.

Sania Ramel Airport

Martil

Martil is a sea resort north east of Tetouan, Morocco in the Mediterranean Sea. The resort constitutes the end of the Martil Valley. In region Tangier-Tétouan The name Martil comes from the Spanish name of Río Martín at the time of the Spanish protectorate of Northern Morocco. To the north is the golfing resort of Cabo Negro.
