Valkenswaard

Valkenswaard is a municipality and a town in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The municipality had 30,671 citizens (as of February 1, 2012) and spans an area of 56,50 square kilometers (1,15 of which is water). The name Valkenswaard stems from its history of falconers, who caught wild falcons there; valk is Dutch for "falcon". It lay on a route where falcons migrated south each year.

Dommelen

Dommelen is a village in the southern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Valkenswaard, North Brabant. Dommelen derives its name from the little brook Dommel that runs through it. Having its clear water close at hand, Dommelen is mostly known for its beer brewery from which the brand name Dommelsch is derived. Its other main attraction is an old watermill. Dommelen was a separate municipality until 1934, when it was merged with Valkenswaard.

De Kempervennen

De Kempervennen is a Center Parcs holiday village situated in Westerhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands. Activities include the sub-tropical swimming paradise, various outdoor and indoor adventure activities, a sports hall, 'kids klub', children's farm, watersports, a "real snow" indoor ski slope, evening shows and forest surroundings. Outdoor activities include water sports, high climb, and bike riding.

Aalst, North Brabant

Aalst is located 6 km south of Eindhoven, on the road to Valkenswaard. It was an independent municipality until 1923, when it merged with the municipality of Waalre. Aalst experienced rapid growth during the 1970s and 1980s as housing estates were built in the Eekenrooi area, which served as an overflow area for Eindhoven. Despite this development the area remains very green and pleasant with large stretches of managed forest and heathland.
