Electricity Ashburton

Electricity Ashburton Limited, trading as EA Networks is a co-operatively-owned electricity distribution company, based in Ashburton, New Zealand. The company was formed as Electricity Ashburton in 1995 after a reorganisation of the Ashburton Electric Power Board into a commercial company. It adopted its current trading name EA Networks in late 2012.

Lake Hood

Lake Hood is a man-made recreational lake, located 6 km south-east of Tinwald in the locality of Huntingdon, Canterbury, New Zealand. It was opened in 2001 by the Right Honourable Jenny Shipley. It is 2.3 km long by 1 km wide and is more than 80 hectares in area. It features an eight lane rowing course and separate waterskiing and jet skiing areas, and is home to Water Ski Lake Hood.

Ashburton Aerodrome

Ashburton Aerodrome is a small airport 2 NM to the east of Ashburton township on the east coast of the South Island, New Zealand. Newmans Air operated a Christchurch to Queenstown via Ashburton service in the 1980s it allowed skiers to connect to the nearby skifield of MT Hutt. Currently no scheduled services fly into Ashburton.

3ZE

3ZE or as it became known 92.5 3ZE FM was a local radio station that operated in Ashburton, New Zealand. The station was originally launched on 873AM frequency as an independently operated station then after being sold by Radio New Zealand's when the Government divested itself of its commercial radio stations became part of the Community Radio Network. The station added an FM frequency which improved reception and suited the inclusion of a significant amount of music within its programme.

Huntingdon, New Zealand

Huntingdon is a lightly populated locality in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is situated on the southern bank of the Ashburton River, south of Ashburton. Other nearby settlements include Willowby to the west, Wheatstone, Flemington, and Ashton to the south, and Wakanui to the east across the river.
