Waitakaruru Stream

The Waitakaruru Stream is a major tributary of the Piako River, within the Waikato Region of New Zealand's North Island. It should not be confused with the similarly named Waitakaruru River, which is also in the Waikato Region. The Waitakaruru Stream has it's origin in the Te Miro-Tahuroa Hills south of Morrinsville, within the Waikato District.

Cambridge Stud

Cambridge Stud is an internationally known Thoroughbred stud farm established in 1976 at Cambridge, New Zealand. It has a number of top quality stallions including Zabeel and the great broodmare Eight Carat (GB) by Pieces of Eight from Klairessa. She was New Zealand Broodmare of the Year in 1995, 1996 and 1997. In 1996 Eight Carat was named Broodmare of the Year by the international journal Owner-Breeder (USA).

Maungakawa

Maungakawa is a locality in the rural portion of the Waikato Region, northeast of the town of Cambridge, New Zealand. It was once the meeting place of the Kauhanganui, the parliament of the Kingitanga and Waikato Tainui government. During the 1860s it had a population of several hundred. The Maungakawa Scenic Reserve has a native bush walk and views over the surrounding area.
