Aust-Agder

Aust-Agder is a county (fylke) in Norway, bordering Telemark, Rogaland, and Vest-Agder. In 2002, there were 102,945 inhabitants, which is 2.2% of the total population in Norway. Its area is 9,212 square kilometres . The administrative center of the county is in Arendal. The county, which is located at the Skagerrak coast, extends from Gjernestangen at Risør to Kvåsefjorden at Lillesand. The inner parts of the area includes Setesdalsheiene and Austheiene.

Nelaug (lake)

Nelaug is a lake in the municipalities of Froland and Åmli in Aust-Agder county, Norway. The lake is formed by a dam which regulates a hydroelectric power plant on the Nidelva river. The village of Nelaug is located near the dam. The lake is located about 11 kilometres south of the municipal center of Åmli and about 15 kilometres southeast of the village of Dølemo.

Uldalsåna

Uldalsåna is a lake in the municipalities of Birkenes and Froland in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is part of the Tovdalselva river drainage basin. On the southeastern end of the lake, there is a hydroelectric dam which releases water into the waterfall, Hanefoss, on its way down to the Herefossfjorden near the village of Herefoss.

Nelaug

Nelaug is a village in the southern part of the municipality of Åmli in Aust-Agder county, Norway. The population (2001) was 161. The village lies east of the Nelaug lake, which is regulated by a hydroelectric power plant. The most notable feature in the village is the Train station, Nelaug Station, which is the junction between the Sørlandsbanen main line and the Arendalsbanen branch line. Nelaug school is a 1st through 6th grade elementary school.

Nelaug Station is a railway station located at Nelaug in Åmli, Norway, north of the Nelaugvannet. The station functions as a meeting station of Sørlandet Line and Arendal Line, that latter which the station functions as terminal station for. Passengers from Oslo to Arendal must change at Nelaug.
