Milde

Milde is a peninsula and neighbourhood in the city of Bergen, Norway. Located in Ytrebygda borough, Milde is situated about 16 km from the city centre of Bergen. As a basic statistical unit Milde had a population of 516 as of January 1, 2008. Milde has been settled for a long time, there being evidence of cultivation of grain since c. 100 AD, while the cultural landscape dates back to c. 200 BC.

Helmuth Brinkmann

Helmuth Brinkmann (12 March 1895 – 26 September 1983) was a Vice Admiral in the Kriegsmarine during World War II who captained the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. Prior to World War II he commanded the Aviso Grille, Adolf Hitler's state yacht. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

Fanafjorden is a fjord in the city of Bergen, Norway. It is an arm of the Korsfjorden fjord, and is approximately 8.5 km long. It is located between the Krokeide peninsula and Milde in Ytrebygda, and forms a natural boundary between Fana and Ytrebygda boroughs.
