Sørfolda

Sørfolda is a fjord in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Sørfold and Bodø. The 40-kilometre Sørfolda is a southeastern branch of the main Folda fjord. Side branches include the Nevelsfjorden, Eidekjosen, Skjunkfjorden, and Leirfjorden. The deepest part of the fjord reaches 573 metres below sea level. The village of Straumen is located at the innermost end of the Sørfolda. The village of Røsvika sits on the western shore of the fjord, about halfway along the fjord.

Rørstad Church

Rørstad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Sørfold in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the isolated village of Rørstad. The church is part of the Sørfold parish in the Salten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1761. It seats about 300 people. Rørstad Church was the main church for Sørfold parish from 1761 until 1880 when Røsvik Church became the main church for the parish.

Tverlandet Church

Tverlandet Church is a parish church in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Løding. The church is part of the Saltstraumen parish in the Bodø deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The modern, brick church was built in 1983 by the architect Reidar Berg. It seats about 320 people.

The white wooden church was completed in 1905, and it was consecrated on 14 June 1905 the Bishop Peter Wilhelm Bøckman. The church seats about 315 people.
