Sirikot, The word "Siri-Kot",is composed of two words {1} siri:means-TOP and {2} kot:means-VILLAGE,so in this way the meaning of siri-kot comes out to"VILLAGE at TOP" or "HILLS TOP VILLAGE",and this meaning is also in accordance with on ground physical location of the said village. To further elaborate we can take the example of village "BAZI SIR"situated next to Siri-kot in its southwest direction. Muzaffarabad District
Muzaffarabad district, of POK is located on the banks of the Jhelum and the Neelum rivers, and is very hilly. The district is bounded to Pakistan in the west and to Kupwara and Baramulla districts that comes under the Kashmir section which is part of the greater dispute between India and Pakistan. To the north is Neelum District; the fall on the northeast of the district and Bagh District forms the southern boundary. The total area of the district is 6,117 square kilometres.
