Biari is a town, and one of twenty union councils in Battagram District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located at 34°38'30N 73°24'0E and has an altitude of 1904 metres (6249 feet).

Payee Lake is situated in centre of meadow in Payee, near Shogran in Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. It is located at the height of almost 9500 feet (2895 meters). It is surrounded by Makra Peak, Malka Parbat, Moosa da Musalla and the mountains of Kashmir. The lake is accessible via Kiwai passing through Shogran by a jeep track.
