Khambi

Khambi and Kaleechpur is a large village of Sarai Alamgir Tehsil district Gujrat, Pakistan. Mainly Thathal and Chib families live there. Kambhi Kaleechpur or Kambhi Khanpur is bound on two sides by the river Jhelum and Upper Canal Jhelum and on the other two sides by small streams. The population are mainly cultivating landlords (Zameendar) and have a record of military service. Many villagers have migrated to Europe, USA, Dubai which has resulted in an expansion of the village over the years.

Jhelum Cantonment

Jhelum Cantt. or Jhelum Cantonment is cantonment area in Jhelum adjacent to city area. It is one of the important cantonment(Army Base) of Pakistan, which was built during the British rule in 1849 which has grown up into a strong Garrison. It is headquarter of 23rd Infantry Division commanded by a Major General.

St. John's Church (Jhelum)

St. John's Church is an Anglican church, now under the Church of Pakistan, located in Jhelum cantonment, Pakistan, beside the river Jhelum. It was built in 1860 and is a landmark of the city. It is a Protestant church and was in use during the British colonial period. For forty years it remained closed, but has been renovated and reopened.
