Carmel, Har Hebron

Carmel is an Israeli settlement in south-east Har Hebron area of the West Bank. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Har Hebron Regional Council and associates ideologically with the Amana settlement movement. The moshav was founded in 1980, as a Nahal military-establishment, and was "civilianized" in 1981. Today, the settlement is home to approximately 70 families. The name Carmel was chosen due to the moshav's close proximity ot the location of Biblical Carmel, the home of Nabal.

Tze'elim Stream

The Tze'elim Stream is a wadi and canyon situated in the Judean Desert, Israel, near Masada, descending to the Dead Sea. Ein Namer, which means "leopard headspring", is a headspring located in the middle of the canyon, providing water during the year to local flora and fauna. Cave of Letters

The name Cave of Letter was coined after the 1960-61 explorations when letters and fragments of papyri were found that dated back to the period of the Bar Kokhba revolt 132-135 AD.
