Plaridel is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. According to 2010 Census of Population and Housing as of May 1, 2010, it has a population of 35,251 people. Plaridel became a municipality in 1907. Its original name was Langaran, after the river which drains along its shorelines.
