It lies approximately 8 kilometres south-east of Ińsko, 38 km east of Stargard Szczeciński, and 68 km east of the regional capital Szczecin. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany, and the name of the village was Temnick. Originally Temnick had been a fief of the German noble family von Delitz. The estate was sold in 1789 by Berend Ludwig von Delitz.
