Capidava

Capidava was an important Geto-Dacian center{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} on the right bank of the Danube. After the Roman conquest, it became a civil and military center{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}, as part of the province of Moesia Inferior, modern Dobruja. Balta Ialomiţei

Balta Ialomiței is an island on the Danube, located in Ialomiţa County and Călăraşi County, Romania. It is surrounded by two branches of the Danube, named "Borcea" and "Dunărea Veche". Originally, the island was covered with marshes, woods, lakes and ponds, but some of the land was reclaimed for agriculture. Occasionally, some of these regions are still flooded. The A2 freeway passes through this island. The island has an area of 831,3 km², with a length of 94 km and a with of 4-12,5 km.

Anghel Saligny Bridge

The Anghel Saligny Bridge (formerly King Carol I Bridge) was built between 1890 and 1895 in Romania over the Danube and Borcea branch of the Danube, and when it was completed it then became the longest bridge in Europe and the third longest in the world. The two cities on the banks of the river which was built were Feteşti on the left side and Cernavodă on the right side.
