Castra of Drumul Carului

The castra of Drumul Carului was a fort in the Roman province of Dacia. The small fort was defended by earthenwork and by two small ditches. It might have been erected following the First Dacian War, before the official integration of Dacia to the Roman Empire. Destroyed by fire, the fort was abandoned around 250. Its ruins are located in Drumul Carului.

Piatra Craiului Mountains

The Piatra Craiului Mountains are a mountain range in the Southern Carpathians in Romania. In Romanian "Piatra Craiului" means "Rock of the King". The Piatra Craiului mountains form a narrow and saw-like ridge, which is about 25 km long. The highest elevation in the massif is the "Vârful La Om" at 2,238 metres . The ridge is regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in the Carpathians. The two-day north–south ridge trail is both challenging and rewarding.

Moieciu

Moieciu is a commune in Braşov County, Romania. It is located 29 km south of Braşov, within the Bran Pass. The commune is composed of six villages: Cheia, Drumul Carului, Măgura, Moieciu de Jos (the commune center), Moieciu de Sus and Peştera.
