Alegranza is an island in the Atlantic Ocean, located off the coast of Africa and is in the province of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is the northernmost point in the Canary Islands (in the area near Jameo Mosegue).

Chinijo Archipelago

The Chinijo archipelago is an archipelago located in the northeastern part of the Canary Islands. The archipelago includes the islands of Montaña Clara, Alegranza, Graciosa, Roque del Este, Roque del Oeste and various islands of volcanic origin. The area is 40.8 km and belongs to the municipality of Teguise, Las Palmas (province). La Graciosa is the only inhabited island. The population is around 600. A natural park (Parque natural del Archipiélago Chinijo) was designated in 1986.

Roque del Oeste

Montaña Clara

Montaña Clara (Spanish meaning "light-colored mountain") is a small islet belonging to the so-called Chinijo Archipelago, in the northeastern part of the Canary Islands, only a short distance (about 2 km) northwest of La Graciosa. The islet is only 1.33 km². The highest point of the island is 256 m above sea level. Montaña Clara is part of a nature reserve, being a refuge for marine birds.
