2008 European Grand Prix

The 2008 European Grand Prix (formally the LII Telefónica Grand Prix of Europe) was a Formula One motor race held on August 24, 2008 at the Valencia Street Circuit, Valencia, Spain. It was the 12th race of the 2008 Formula One season. The race, contested over 57 laps, was won by Felipe Massa for the Ferrari team after starting from pole position. Lewis Hamilton finished second in a McLaren car, with Robert Kubica third in a BMW Sauber.

European Grand Prix

The European Grand Prix (sometimes referred to as the Grand Prix of Europe) was a Formula One event that was reintroduced during the mid-1980s and has been held regularly from 1999 until 2012. The most recent host venue for this event was Valencia, Spain, hosting the race from 2008 until 2012. In earlier years, the European Grand Prix was not a race in its own right but just an honorific title; one of the national Grands Prix was also designated as the European Grand Prix.

L'Oceanogràfic

L'Oceanogràfic is a marine park situated in the east of the city of Valencia, Spain, where different marine habitats are represented. It was designed by the architect Félix Candela and the structural engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro. It is integrated inside the cultural complex known as the Ciudad de los Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences).

Valencia Open 500

The Valencia Open 500, formerly known as Open de Tenis Comunidad Valenciana, is a professional tennis tournament played in Valencia, Spain. It is currently part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. The tournament was first played in Valencia in 1995 before moving to Marbella, Spain for the 1996 and 1997 editions. From 1998 to 2002, the event was held in Majorca, and finally, in 2003, moved back to its current location.
