Thalawathugoda

Thalawathugoda is a suburb of Colombo city. It is located approximately sixteen (16) kilometres from the city centre of Colombo, adjacent to Battaramulla and Pelawatte on the Borella-Kottawa main road, bordering Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte (The administrative Capital of Sri Lanka). The Diyawanna Oya (Parliament Lake) forms the "Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte" side boundary of Thalawathugoda.

University of Sri Jayewardenepura

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය, Tamil: ஸ்ரீ ஜயவர்தனபுர பல்கலைக்கழகம்) is a university in Sri Lanka. It is in Gangodawila, Nugegoda, near Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, the capital city. It was formed in 1958 out of the Vidyodaya Pirivena, a Buddhist educational centre.

Welikadawatte

Welikadawatte, a middle-class housing estate in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka, was a result of the first co-operative housing scheme in Sri Lanka. In the mid-1950s, Dr. Seneka Bibile, together with Herbert Keuneman, 'Bonnie' Fernando, Anil and Jeanne Moonesinghe and other members of the radical intelligentsia, founded Sri Lanka's first co-operative housing scheme, the Gothatuwa Building Society.

National Museum of Colombo

National Museum of Colombo, also known as the Sri Lanka National Museum is one of two museums in Colombo. It is the largest museum in Sri Lanka. Its is maintained by the Department of National Museum of the central government. The museum holds contains a collections of much importance to Sri Lanka such as the regalia of the country, including the throne and crown of the Kandyan monarchs as well as many other exhibits telling the story of ancient Sri Lanka.

Lanka Hospitals

Lanka Hospitals, formerly known as Apollo Hospitals Colombo is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in Sri Lanka and is one of the largest private hospitals in the country. It is situated on Elvitigala Mawatha, also known as Baseline Road, which is a direct route from the country’s international airport. It is also only a few minutes drive from central Colombo. The hospital was commissioned in 2002 as a branch of Apollo Hospitals India.
