Phophonyane Falls Nature Reserve

The Phophonyane Falls is a scenic 500ha nature reserve and tourist location near Piggs Peak, Swaziland. A network of footpaths through the Gobolondlo forest reaches meandering water courses which lead to the 80m high Phophonyane Falls. Here some of the oldest rocks in the world are exposed, dated at 3.55 billion years.

Bulembu

Bulembu is a small town located in northwestern Hhohho, Swaziland, 10 km west of the town of Piggs Peak. Located above the Komati Valley in Swaziland’s Highveld, Bulembu is named after the siSwati word for a spider's web. The town of Bulembu is privately owned by a not-for-profit, Bulembu Ministries Swaziland.

Komati River

The Komati River (also called Incomati River) is a river in South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique. It is 480 kilometres long, with a drainage basin 50,000 square kilometres in size. Its mean annual discharge is 111 m³/s at its mouth. The name Komati is derived from inkomati, meaning "cow", as its perennial nature is compared to a cow that always has milk.

Maguga Dam

The Maguga Dam is a dam on the Komati River in Swaziland. It is 115 metres high and is located 11 kilometres south of Piggs Peak. The dam is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:26|4|51.57|S|31|15|25.84|E|type:river | |name= }} and was completed in 2001. The dam embankment comprises approximately 800 000m of clay, 2 800 000m of granite rock and 43 000m of filter material. It has an overall height of 115 metres, a crest length of 870 metres and a base width of 400 metres.
