Jokkmokk Municipality
Jokkmokk Municipality is a municipality in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Jokkmokk. The name Jokkmokk is Sami for the words "river" and "bend", since the town is situated close to a bend in the nearby river. The municipality is the second largest in size of all Swedish municipalities and is, with an area of 19,477 km (approximately 7,520 square miles) slightly smaller than Slovenia or the US state of New Jersey.

Ájtte is a museum, which specializes in the culture and nature of the mountainous area of Northern Sweden, and which is also the main museum and archive for the Sami culture of Sweden. Ájtte is also an information centre for tourism in Lapland.

Porjus Hydroelectric Power Station
Porjus power station is one of the oldest and largest power plants in Sweden, situated near Porjus. It was built 1910-1915 and has a power of 480 MW. Besides three-phase AC, the plant originally also generated single phase 15 Hz AC for railway traction and hence, two single-phase 80 kV power lines ran along the Iron Ore Line Malmbanan where it was transformed down to 16 kV in substations. However this system was later abandoned in favor of rotary converter stations.
