Boxholm Municipality

Boxholm Municipality (Boxholms kommun) is a municipality in Östergötland County in southeast Sweden. Its seat is located in the industrial town of Boxholm. The present municipality was formed in 1971, when the market town Boxholm (itself instituted in 1947) was amalgamated with Södra Göstring and a parish (Rinna) from the dissolved municipality of Folkunga.

Mjölby Municipality (Mjölby kommun) is a municipality in Östergötland County in southeast Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Mjölby, with some 12,000 inhabitants. The present municipality was established in 1971, when the City of Mjölby, the City of Skänninge and the rural municipalities in the vicinity were amalgamated into the new entity. Bjälbo

Bjälbo is a small village in Mjölby Municipality, Östergötland, Sweden. The medieval House of Bjelbo had a church and a manor house at Bjälbo. Today the church tower is preserved. In 1173, King Kol Sverkerson was killed in a battle at Bjälbo.

Östergötland Runic Inscription 165

Östergötland Rune Inscription 165 is a runestone located between Vårfrukyrkan (English: the Church of Our Lady) and the town square in Skänninge. It is made of grey granite and is 230 cm tall. On the front of the runestone is the first part of the text, up until the word "suni" . It continues on the left side until the end of the text. The signature of the carver can be found on the right side.
