Arholma

Arholma is an island in the north eastern part of the Stockholm archipelago in Norrtälje Municipality. Arholma has about 60 permanent residents. But like so many other island outside Stockholm, it gets an influx of residents in the summer raising the number of residents to 500. It houses a 10,5 cm coastal battery from the cold war which has been turned into a museum. The island has two Hostels and regular passenger traffic as well as a port for visiting private boats.

Ängsö National Park

Ängsö is a Swedish National Park. It is renowned for its wonderful nature and a pleasing agricultural landscape which was not destroyed by technical civilization. The park can only be reached by water. There are fine natural harbors and a wharf on the shore of the island.
