Rånäs Manor

Rånäs Manor (Rånäs slott, Rånäs Castle) is situated in Uppland in central Sweden, about an hour's drive north of Stockholm on the northern shore of Lake Skedviken. The manor was built in the 1850s by the Reuterskiöld family at the site of a 17th century manor, torn down after the completion of the present manor. Rånäs manor was designed by the leading architect of the time, professor Per Axel Nyström.

Scandinavian Airlines Flight 751

Scandinavian Airlines Flight 751 was a regularly scheduled Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Stockholm, Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark and Warsaw, Poland that crashed on 27 December 1991. The McDonnell Douglas MD-81 was piloted by Danish captain Stefan G. Rasmussen and Swedish first officer Ulf Cedermark. Ice had collected on the wings' inner roots (close to the fuselage) prior to take off, which broke off and was blown/sucked into the engines as the aircraft became airborne on takeoff.

Gottröra is a village in Norrtälje Municipality in the province of Uppland, Sweden. Several hundred ancient monuments are registered in Gottröra. In 1991 the Scandinavian Airlines Flight 751 had to make an emergency landing near Gottröra.
