Zimmerwald Observatory

Observatorium Zimmerwald (Zimmerwald Observatory) is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by the Astronomisches Institut der Universität Bern (Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern). Built in 1956, it is located 10 kilometers south of Bern, Switzerland near Zimmerwald. The 1 meter aperture ZIMLAT telescope was inaugurated in 1997.

Toffen Castle

Toffen Castle is a Baroque country estate in Toffen, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. It was first recorded as a castle in the early 14th century, and was rebuilt in its current form in 1671 by Hans Georg von Werdt. The estate remains in private ownership.
