Davos Platz (Rhaetian Railway station)

Davos Platz station is located in the municipality of Davos in the district of Prattigau/Davos in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is the terminus of the Landquart-Davos railway line. Northbound, there is an hourly service towards Landquart. Southbound, there is an hourly service to Filisur. The station also serves as a hub for local bus services. Davos Dorf station is located about 2.5 km northeast of Davos Platz. RE2 runs express services along the Landquart-Davos line.

Davos-Platz

Davos Platz is part of the village of Davos, situated in eastern Switzerland at 5,105 ft. above sea-level, in a valley of the East Grisons. The village used to be a refuge in the winter for invalids suffering from chest disease; even today, the dry air and sunshine are helpful for patients with such afflictions. The Esplanade Swiss Quality Hotel is located here.

Vaillant Arena

Vaillant Arena (Eisstadion Davos) is an arena in Davos, Switzerland. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of HC Davos. It holds 7,080 people, of which 3,280 are seated. Every year the Spengler Cup is played in this arena. The open natural ice rink beside the arena, Eisstadion Davos, was in the past (up until 1997) the venue for many international speed skating events and many speed skating world records have been broken here.

Prättigau/Davos District

Prättigau/Davos District is an administrative district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It has an area of 823.95 km and has a population of 26,184 (as of 31 December 2011). It consists of seven Kreise (sub-districts) and fifteen municipalities: The sub-districts Davos, Jenaz, Klosters, Küblis and Luzein belonged until 1986 to the defunct district Oberlandquart; the sub-districts Schiers and Seewis to the defunct district Unterlandquart.
