Arolla

Arolla is a village in the municipality of Evolène in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is situated at the end of the Val d'Hérens south of Sion at 1998m altitude in the Pennine Alps. It is situated at the foot of Mont Collon and is a popular start point for mountain expeditions. The village is a popular stop-off point on the Haute Route, a classic high-altitude mountain trek between Chamonix and Zermatt.

Arolla Glacier

The Arolla Glacier is a 4 km long glacier (2005) situated in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 13.17 km . The Glacier d'Arolla is in fact composed of two glacier: the Glacier du Mont Collon and the Haut Glacier d'Arolla.

Vignettes Hut

The Vignettes Hut is an alpine hut, situated in the Evolène, (Valais - Swiss), in the Val d'Herens, Pennine Alps, at 3.160 m. The Cabane de Vignettes is a famous stop for those that walk or ski the Haute Route, Chamonix–Zermatt. This Haute Route was first established on foot in 1861 by English mountaineers.

Bertol Hut

Cabane de Bertol (Bertol Hut) is a mountain hut located at the end of Val d'Arolla, Arolla in the Valais region of Switzerland. The hut is perched precariously on a ridge at 3,311 metres and is accessed by a number of fixed ladders and chains. It is situated on the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt. Nearby peaks include the Dent Blanche, Aiguille de la Tsa and Tête Blanche.
