Wuzhi Mountain Military Cemetery

The Wuzhi Mountain Military Cemetery (Chinese: 五指山國軍示範公墓, literally Wuzhi Mountain National Military Model Public Cemetery) is Taiwan's most prominent military cemetery. The cemetery is located on Wuzhi Mountain (五指山) in Xizhi, New Taipei City and borders Taipei City's Neihu District and Yangmingshan National Park. General Chiang Wei-kuo, the adopted son of Chiang Kai-shek, conceived and designed the cemetery.

Yangmingshan

One of the eight national parks in Taiwan, the Yangmingshan National Park is located between Taipei City and New Taipei City, Taiwan. The districts that house parts of the park grounds include Taipei's Beitou and Shilin Districts; and New Taipei's Wanli, Jinshan, and Sanzhi Districts. During the Japanese occupation era of Taiwan, it was known as Datun National Park.

Qixing Mountain (Taipei)

Qixing Mountain or Cising Mountain is located on the Datun Volcano Group and is the highest mountain at the rim of Taipei City and Taipei Basin. It is also the highest (dormant) volcano in Taiwan. It located in the center of Yangmingshan National Park and its main peak is 1,120 metres above sea level. It began erupting about 700,000 years ago. There was a crater at the peak but it became seven small peaks due to post-eruption erosion.

Grass Mountain Chateau

The Grass Mountain Chateau (蔣公草山行館) is a former residence of late President of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek (蔣介石). It is located in Taipei City, Taiwan, Republic of China in the Yangmingshan National Park. The residence was constructed in 1920 by the Taiwan Sugar Corporation. Emperor Hirohito of Japan personally visited the residence and stayed there for 1 hour and 50 minutes, according to historical records.

National Palace Museum

The National Palace Museum (Chinese: 國立故宮博物院 Guólì Gùgōng Bówùyuàn) is an art museum in Taipei City, Taiwan. It is the national museum of the Republic of China, and has a permanent collection of 693,507 pieces of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks, making it one of the largest in the world. The collection encompasses over 8,000 years of Chinese history from the Neolithic age to the late Qing Dynasty. Most of the collection are high quality pieces collected by China's ancient emperors.
