Beidou, Changhua

Beidou Township is a town in Changhua County, Taiwan. It is famous for ba-wan, a popular Taiwanese food item that was invented in the township. It is located in an alluvial plain in the southeast part of the county. Gie-Ming Lin, the father of Jeremy Lin the Houston Rockets basketball star, grew up in Beidou.

Xihu, Changhua

Xihu is a traditional farming village located in the middle of Changhua County, Taiwan. Along with Xiluo, it is one of the centres of vegetable-growing on the western side of the island. Famous local foods include lamb hotpot and kyoho grapes. During the Japanese colonial period in Taiwan (1895-1945), Xihu was an important center for sugar manufacturing; because of demand for sugar transport, a railway system was set up.

Changhua County

Lukang is one of the historical towns located in Taiwan, there are a lot of historical structures that were built during the Qing Dynasty. With a total population of 1.3 million, it is ranked the second-largest county by population.

Lukang, Changhua

Lukang is an urban township in northwestern Changhua County, Taiwan (latitude 24°03'N, longitude 120°26'E). The township is on the west coast of Taiwan, facing the Taiwan Strait. The township's name came from the port's trade of deerskins during the Dutch colonial period. Its old Taiwanese name was Lo̍k-á-káng (鹿仔港). Lukang was an important sea port in the 18th century and 19th century. It was the most populous city in central Taiwan until the early 20th century.

Ershui, Changhua

Ershui (二水鄉) is a rural township in southeastern Changhua County, Taiwan. It is bordered on the north by Tianzhong Township, to the east by Mingjian Township in Nantou County, and to the west by Xizhou Township. Its name means, literally, "Two Waters", which is a reference to the two irrigation canals constructed in the township, Babao canal 1 and 2, linking the waters from the nearby Zhuoshui River to the fertile Changhua Plain.
