Beitun District

Beitun District is the largest district of Taichung in Taiwan, the Republic of China. Located in the northern part of the city, it is a half mountainous, half urban area. Though Beitun District used to be considered part of the countryside, the new TaiYuan train station has urbanized it considerably. The highest point of Taichung City is located in Beitun, Douliu Hill (859 m).

American School in Taichung

The American School in Taichung (AST) is an international school in Taichung City, Taiwan offering grades one to twelve. The school, founded in 1990, was previously known as Lincoln American School. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and hosts the annual Taiwan Model United Nations (TAIMUN) conference from schools all across Taiwan. Dongshi District

Dongshi District is a suburban district in eastern Taichung, Republic of China (Taiwan). A majority of the residents are of Hakka ethnicity, making it an enclave in an otherwise non-Hakka county. Its Hakka dialect is very distinct compared to the dialects of other counties.
