Hengchun Airport is an airport in Hengchun, Pingtung County, Taiwan. The airport is near Kenting National Park and is the southern-most airport in Taiwan. Due to its location, the airport experiences strong Katabatic wind and is forced to close. Hengchun
Hengchun of Pingtung County is the southernmost township in Taiwan. Hengchun is also the only urban township in the southern part of Pingtung County. The city of Hengchun is the entry way to Kenting National Park, the southernmost National Park in the country. Cape Eluanbi
Cape Eluanbi is located in Hengchun township, Pingtung county, on the southernmost end of the Taiwan Central Mountain Range. It is also known as Ngoluanpi. Facing the Luzon Strait, it is the southernmost cape of Taiwan. The name Gô-lôan derives from Goran, as means "Sail" coming from Paiwan language of Paiwan people which is one of the Taiwanese aborigines. The word phīⁿ means "nose", referring to the shape of the "Cape".
