Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania. It covers an area of about 22,000 km². It is located in the middle of Tanzania about 130 km from Iringa. The park is part of a more extensive ecosystem which includes Rungwa Game Reserve, Usangu Game Reserve, and several other protected areas. The name of the park is derived from the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its south-eastern margin and is the focus for game-viewing.

Kilolo is one of the four districts of the Iringa Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north and east by the Morogoro Region, to the south by Mufindi District and to the west by the Iringa Rural District. According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Kilolo District was 205,081.

Idodi

Idodi is an administrative Division in the Iringa Rural district of the Iringa Region of Tanzania. According to the 2002 census, the ward has a total population of 9,205. The villages of Mahuninga, Makifu, Tungamalenga, Mapogoro, Kitisi and Malinzanga all fall within Idodi Division. The Division contains two Wards: Tungamalenga and Mlowa. Idodi Division is immediately south of Ruaha National Park, Tanzania's largest Park.
