Central Thailand

Central Thailand (Central Plain) is a region of Thailand, covering the broad alluvial plain of the Chao Phraya River. It is separated from North-East Thailand by the Phetchabun mountain range, and the Tenasserim Hills separate it from Myanmar to the west. In the north it is bound by the Phi Pan Nam Range, one of the hilly systems of Northern Thailand. The area was the heartland of the Ayutthaya kingdom, and is still the dominant area of Thailand.

Chai Nat

Chai Nat is a town in central Thailand, capital of the Chainat Province. It covers the whole tambon tambon Nai Mueang and parts of Ban Kluai, Tha Chai and Khao Tha Phra, all in Mueang Chai Nat district. As of 2006 it has a population of 14,469. The town is located at the banks of the Chao Phraya River. The main road through the town is the Phahonyothin highway (Highway 1).

Tha Chin River

The Tha Chin river is a distributary of the Chao Phraya river, Thailand. It splits near the province of Chainat and then flows westerly from the Chao Phraya through the central plains, until it mouths into the Gulf of Thailand at the province of Samut Sakhon.
