Krue Sae Mosque

Krue Sae Mosque or Krue Se Mosque, is located in Pattani Province, Thailand. It was begun in about 1583, but was never completed because of a power struggle between the sultan of Pattani and his brother. The present structure is on the same site and dates to the 18th century CE. It features a mixture of Middle Eastern and European architectural styles.

Pattani, Thailand

Pattani is a town in the far south of Thailand, near the border to Malaysia. It is the capital of the Pattani Province. The city has a population of 43,631 (2005). It covers the whole tambon Sabarang, Anoru and Chabang Tiko of Mueang Pattani district. The word Pattani is derived from "Petani" in Malay which means farmer. The local dialect of Malay is called Patani Malay or Yawi in Thai.

Pattani River

Pattani River is a river in Southern Thailand, Thailand. It originates in Betong district, Yala Province and mouths into the Gulf of Thailand at the town Pattani. Within Yala province the river forms the Bang Lang Reservoir. The river has a length of 214 km. The Bang Lang dam is built on the river.
