Phra Pathom Chedi

Phra Pathom Chedi is the tallest stupa in the world with the height of 127 metres . It is located in the town of Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The name Phra Pathom Chedi means Holy chedi (stupa) of the beginning. The stupa at the location is first mentioned in Buddhist scriptures of the year 675, however archaeological findings date back to the 4th century. In the 11th century it was overbuilt with a Khmer (Ancient Cambodia) style prang, which was later overgrown by the jungle.

Sanam Chandra Palace

Sanam Chandra Palace is a tiny castle-like structure built in a combination of French and English styles, but with adaptions for the tropical climate The palace grounds is located on a site Nakhon Pathom, Thailand and consists of five buildings and a Ganesh shrine. The palace was built from 1907 to 1911 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), and has a view of Phra Pathom Chedi. Part of the site is presently a campus of Silpakorn University.

Nakhon Pathom

Nakhon Pathom is a city in central Thailand, capital of the Nakhon Pathom Province. One of the most important landmarks is the giant Phra Pathom Chedi. The city is also home to Thailand's only Bhikkhuni temple Wat Song Thammakanlayani (วัดทรงธรรมกัลยาณี), which is also open to women from abroad. Khlong Phasi Charoen

Khlong Phasi Charoen is a canal in western part of central Thailand. The canal links the Tha Chin river to Khlong Bangkok Yai. It starts at Khlong Bangkok Yai nearby Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, Bangkok and ends southward of Wat Ang Thong, Tambon Don Kai Di, Krathum Baen district, Samut Sakhon Province. It is approximately 30 km long. The canal project was initiated by Phra Phasi Sombat Boriboon (พระภาษีสมบัติบริบูรณ์), who later became Phraya Phison Sombat Boriboon (พระยาพิสณฑ์สมบัติบริบูรณ์).

Thai Human Imagery Museum

The Thai Human Imagery Museum is a wax museum located in Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand. Due to the tropical climate of Thailand the figures are made of fibreglass instead of the traditional wax. Exhibits include Thai historical figures, including kings of the Chakri Dynasty, displays of Thai culture and traditions, and famous fictional characters, including those from Sunthorn Phu's epic poem, Phra Abhai Mani.
