Aenus (Thrace)

Aenus, modern Enez in Turkey, was an ancient Greek city on the southeastern coast of Thrace. The Maritsa or Evros is, with a length of 480 km, the longest river that runs solely in the interior of the Balkans. Kocahıdır

Kocahıdır is a town in İpsala district of Edirne Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|49|N|26|24|E||| | |name= }} Kocahıdır is 17 kilometres south east of İpsala. The town is divided into three parts by two parallel creeks flowing to south west. The population of Kocahıdır is 1159 as of 2011. Kocahıdır was founded in 1893 by 66 Muslim families from Bulgaria. In 1938 during another migration, Muslim families from Romania were also settled in Kocahıdır.
