Elazığ Province

Elâzığ Province is a province of Turkey with its seat in the city of Elâzığ. The source of the Euphrates river is located in this province. The province has a population of 552,646 as of 2010. The population of the province was 569,616 in 2000 and 498,225 in 1990. The total area of the province is 9,153 square kilometres, 826 km of which is covered by reservoirs and natural lakes. The current governor of the province is Muammer Erol (since 2006).

Akçakiraz (former Perçenç) is a town in the central district of Elazığ Province, Turkey. Yurtbaşı is a town in the central district of Elazığ Province, Turkey. It is situated to the west of Keban Dam resorvoir at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|38|N|39|21|E||| | |name= }}. The distance to Elazığ is 12 kilometres . The population of Yurtabaşı is 7747 as of 2011. Main crops of the town are greenhouse grocery and wine grape (like Öküzgözü) The organized industry site of Elazığ as well as the sugar refinery are in Yurtbaşı.
