Canons Ashby Priory

Canons Ashby Priory was an Augustinian monastic establishment in Northamptonshire, England. The Priory was founded by Stephen La Leye on a site to the south of the present church between 1147 and 1151, during the reign of Henry IIhttp://www. british-history. ac. uk/report. asp?compid=42392. In 1253 the Augustinians were granted a licence to build the Norwell, which still exists to the north of the present church, to supply water to the priory.

Canons Ashby House

Canons Ashby House is an Elizabethan manor house located in Canons Ashby, Daventry, Northamptonshire, England. It has been owned by the National Trust since 1981, although "The Tower" is in the care of the Landmark Trust and available for holiday lets. It has been the home of the Dryden family since its construction in the 16th century. The manor house was built in approximately 1550 with additions in the 1590s, in the 1630s and 1710; it has remained essentially unchanged since the 1710s.

Weston Hall

Weston Hall is the Sitwell family house in Northamptonshire. The house is situated in the village of Weston in the south of the county. It was the home of Sir Sacheverell Sitwell and his Canadian wife, Georgia Doble, from 1927 until his death in 1988. It was here that he wrote many of his 130 books on travel, art, music and poetry.
