Stockland Hill transmitting station

The Stockland Hill transmitting station is a transmitting facility of FM Radio and UHF television located near Honiton, Devon, England. This transmitter mainly serves the East of Devon and West Dorset. It was constructed in 1961 by the IBA to transmit ITV 405-line television with transmissions commencing on Band III channel 9 from antennas at {{#invoke:Math|precision_format| 449.58 | 0}} m (1,475 ft) above sea level. Colour television came to the site in 1971.

Old Shute House

See also: New Shute House Old Shute House (known as Shute Barton between about 1789 and the 20th century), located at Shute, near Colyton, Axminster, Devon, is the remnant of a mediaeval manor house with Tudor additions, today in the ownership of the National Trust. It was given a Grade I listing on 14 December 1955. It is one of the most important non-fortified manor houses of the Middle Ages still in existence.

Stockland Castle

Stockland Castle is the name given to two Iron Age hill forts on Stockland Hill close to Stockland in Devon, England. Stockland Great Castle occupies a position on the eastern slope of the hill at 190–210 metres (&#160) above sea level. Stockland Little Castle, located about 1 kilometre northeast of its larger neighbour, occupies a small promontory on the eastern slope of the hill at approximately 175 metres above sea level.

Axminster Museum

Axminster Museum is a town museum situated in the Old Police Station and Courthouse opposite St. Mary's Church in the centre of the town of Axminster, Devon. It was founded in 1982. The collections include exhibits related to the town's carpet industry founded by Thomas Whitty in 1755.
