RAF Polebrook

Royal Air Force Station Polebrook or more simply RAF Polebrook is a former Royal Air Force station located 3.5 miles east-south-east of Oundle, at Polebrook, Northamptonshire, England. The airfield was built on Rothschild estate land starting in August 1940. It was from Polebrook that the United States Army Air Forces Eighth Air Force carried out its first heavy bomb group combat mission on 17 August 1942, and from which Major Clark Gable flew combat missions in 1943.

Church of All Saints, Sawtry

Church of All Saints is a Grade II listed listed building located in Sawtry, a village in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, England. It became a listed building on 28 January 1958. Until the year 1880, there were two churches in Saltry, All Saints' and St. Andrew's. Both were demolished in that year and the materials used in the erection of the new Church of All Saints. It is in the Early Decorated style, from designs by a Mr. Bromfield, architect. It consists of a chancel and nave.
